Craft Creation
Art + Fabrication
One of the stranger values my mother instilled in me is to never, ever, EVER wear a store bought costume; so every September(or more often July) we would come up with something to make for Halloween and my love for crafting started there. I have continued the tradition of making elaborate costumes sometimes thrown together with some odd materials. I do whatever it takes to create the look I want, even if that means experimenting for hours with a variety of mediums or even unconventional items... did you know that eggcrate mattress toppers make a perfect jumbo-sized waffle cone?
While in middle and high school, my friends and I would come up with hilarious movie spoofs and we would write, direct, act, and film them. My favorite part was always putting together our props and costumes and coming up with interesting ways to make our no budget films at least look like they had some production value!
My current crafting obsession is light up flower crowns that I made for a friends Bachelorette party and then continued to make them for friends and for a variety of events.
